What types of checking accounts does IOU National offer?
IOU National offers three checking account tiers: Essential Checking (no monthly fee with direct deposit or $1,500 minimum balance), Preferred Checking ($25/month, waived with $15,000+ in combined balances, includes free wire transfers and premium rewards), and Private Client Checking (available through Wealth Management for qualifying clients). All checking accounts include a Visa debit card, mobile check deposit, and Zelle access.
What savings account options are available?
We offer a Standard Savings account with a 0.05% APY and no monthly fee when linked to checking, a High-Yield Savings account earning 4.25% APY (as of April 2026, rates subject to change), and Money Market accounts with tiered rates starting at 3.75% APY for balances over $10,000. All savings accounts are FDIC insured up to $250,000 per depositor, per account ownership category.
What CD terms and rates does IOU National offer?
IOU National certificates of deposit are available in terms from 3 months to 5 years. Current promotional rates include 4.50% APY for 12-month CDs and 4.15% APY for 6-month CDs (minimum $1,000 deposit). Early withdrawal penalties apply: 90 days of interest for terms under 12 months, and 180 days of interest for terms of 12 months or longer. CD interest can be paid monthly or at maturity.
How do I access my bank statements?
Sign in to online banking at iounational-help.com/login and navigate to Statements & Documents. You can view and download PDF statements for the last 7 years. Paper statements are mailed monthly if you have not enrolled in paperless delivery. To switch to paperless, update your preferences under Account Settings. What fees does IOU National charge?
Common fees include: monthly maintenance ($12 for Essential Checking, waivable), overdraft protection transfer ($12.50 per transfer), stop payment ($30), outgoing domestic wire ($25, $15 online), outgoing international wire ($45), cashier's check ($10, free for Preferred and Private Client), and returned deposit ($15). Is IOU National Bank FDIC insured?
Yes. IOU National Bank, N.A. is a Member FDIC institution. Your deposits are insured up to $250,000 per depositor, per account ownership category, by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. Joint accounts receive $250,000 of coverage per co-owner. IOU National is also an Equal Housing Lender. You can verify our FDIC status at fdic.gov.

How do I log in to IOU National online banking?
Go to iounational-help.com/login and enter your registered email address and password. Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is required for every session — you will receive a one-time code via SMS or your authenticator app. If you do not have an online banking account, you can enroll during your first visit by verifying your identity with your account number and SSN.
How do I reset my online banking password?
Visit iounational-help.com/forgot-password and enter the email address associated with your account. A secure reset link will be sent within minutes. The link expires after 60 minutes. If you do not receive the email, check your spam folder or call +1 (888) 462-4968 for assistance.
How do I download and set up the mobile banking app?
The IOU National mobile app is available on the App Store (iOS 15+) and Google Play (Android 10+). Search for "IOU National Bank" and look for the official app with the green and gold shield icon. After downloading, sign in with your online banking credentials. The app supports biometric login (Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint), mobile check deposit, Zelle transfers, card management, and push notifications for transactions.
How do I pay bills through online banking?
Sign in at iounational-help.com/login and select Bill Pay from the main menu. You can add payees by name or account number, schedule one-time or recurring payments, and set payment reminders. Electronic payments typically arrive in 1–2 business days. Check payments are mailed and arrive in 5–7 business days. There is no fee for the bill pay service.
Does IOU National support Zelle?
Yes. Zelle is built into IOU National online banking and the mobile app. To send money, go to Transfers > Send with Zelleand enter the recipient's email or phone number. Transfers between enrolled users typically arrive within minutes. Daily send limits are $2,500 for Essential Checking and $5,000 for Preferred and Private Client accounts. Receiving money through Zelle is free and unlimited.
Transfers & Payments
How do I send a wire transfer?
Domestic and international wire transfers can be initiated through online banking under Transfers > Wire Transfer or by calling +1 (888) 462-4968. You will need the recipient's name, bank name, routing number (domestic) or SWIFT/BIC code (international), and account number. Domestic wires cost $25 by phone or $15 online. International wires are $45. Same-day domestic wire cutoff is 4:30 PM ET. Wires submitted after cutoff are processed the next business day.
How do ACH transfers work?
ACH (Automated Clearing House) transfers allow you to move money between IOU National and external bank accounts. To set up an ACH transfer, link an external account in online banking under Transfers > External Accounts. Verification takes 1–2 business days via micro-deposits. Standard ACH transfers are free and settle in 2–3 business days. Next-day ACH is available for a $3 fee. There are no fees for incoming ACH credits (such as direct deposit).
How do I set up direct deposit?
Provide your employer or benefits provider with the IOU National routing number 021000089 and your account number. Your account number is found on your checks, monthly statements, or in online banking under Account Details. Direct deposit typically activates within 1–2 pay cycles. Once active, deposits are posted on the day your employer sends them, and qualifying direct deposits waive the Essential Checking monthly maintenance fee.
What are the daily transfer limits?
Daily limits depend on your account type: Essential Checking — $5,000/day external transfer, $2,500 Zelle; Preferred Checking — $25,000/day external transfer, $5,000 Zelle; Private Client — $100,000/day external transfer, $10,000 Zelle. What are the current mortgage rates?
Mortgage rates vary based on loan type, term, credit score, and down payment. As of April 2026, indicative rates start at 6.25% APR for a 30-year fixed conventional mortgage and 5.875% APR for a 15-year fixed (rates subject to change daily). How do I apply for a loan?
Personal loans, auto loans, and home equity lines of credit can be applied for online through your banking dashboard under Lending > Apply. You will need to provide income verification, employment history, and consent to a credit check. Most personal loan decisions are returned within 1 business day. Mortgage applications require additional documentation (tax returns, pay stubs, asset statements) and typically take 30–45 days to close. How do I get a payoff quote for my loan?
Sign in to online banking and navigate to Loans > Payoff Quote to generate a payoff statement with the exact balance, per-diem interest, and payoff instructions. Does IOU National offer home equity loans?
Yes. IOU National offers both fixed-rate home equity loans and home equity lines of credit (HELOCs). Home equity loans are available from $25,000 to $500,000 with terms of 5–30 years. HELOC draw periods are 10 years with a 20-year repayment period. Combined loan-to-value (CLTV) ratios up to 85% are accepted. How do I report fraud or unauthorized transactions?

Under Regulation E, you have 60 days from the date of your statement to report unauthorized electronic transfers. Report suspicious activity as soon as possible to minimize liability.
How do I freeze or lock my debit card?
Sign in to online banking at iounational-help.com/login and navigate to Card Management > Lock Card. Your card will be frozen instantly, blocking all new purchases and ATM withdrawals. Recurring payments and pending transactions are not affected. You can unlock the card at any time through the same menu. If your card is lost or stolen, call +1 (888) 462-7233 to permanently deactivate it and request a replacement.
What should I do if I suspect identity theft?
Contact our fraud team at +1 (888) 462-7233 right away. We will place a security freeze on your accounts and initiate an investigation. You should also: (1) place a fraud alert with all three credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, TransUnion), (2) file an identity theft report at identitytheft.gov, and (3) review your IOU National account statements for any unfamiliar transactions.
